Dear Parents & Carers

Re: School Information for Autumn School Reopening 2021.

I hope that you are well and have enjoyed a lovely summer break and found time to enjoy some relaxed experience as a family.

I am writing to give you some vital school information as we reopen on Monday 6th September 2021 for the new academic year. We do hope to be able to experience as much normality and stability this academic year as is possible.

COVID-19 update

  • As the ‘bubble’ system has ended in line with the recent guidance, schools will no longer be involved in contact tracing and school-age children and young people will no longer need to self-isolate if they are close contacts
  • Attendance is once again mandatory for compulsory school-age children
  • Although not mandatory anymore, face masks can still be worn by parents and other visitors when entering the school grounds
  • We will continue to adhere to Public Health and DfE guidance and update our Risk Assessment accordingly
  • We advise anyone who has COVID symptoms to take a PCR test.  It is also advisable to test Lateral Flow Device tests (LFD) regularly if you do not have symptoms (but may have been a close contact for instance). https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/regular-rapid-coronavirus-tests-if-you-do-not-have-symptoms/
  • School staff will continue to test twice a week using Lateral Flow Device tests.
  • We will also maintain our diligent hand washing / sanitising regime in school.

Eventually we expect to get back to a situation more like that in 2019, but please bear with us. We very much look forward to welcoming everyone back to the new school year and we will provide you with the necessary updates as and when we have them.

Thank you once again for all your support and understanding during these challenging times.
