Mrs Read, Mrs Grant and I would like to thank you for your continued support during this uncertain time.  We are particularly grateful to all the parents who are taking social distancing seriously on the gates; wearing masks in congested areas, keeping to drop off and pick up times and staying an appropriate distance from other parents.   On the other hand, we have unfortunately had some complaints - from local residents and other parents - regarding smoking and use poor language whilst waiting outside.  Please be considerate to those around you at all times.   

We hope that you managed to access the google meets with your child’s class teacher this week.  It is really important for you to have the opportunity to keep track of both your child’s academic and personal progress.  Teachers found them incredibly helpful and we hope you did too.  If you have any questions then please either phone the school and ask for an appropriate time to speak to your teacher or you can contact the wellbeing team or SLT through the well being email (www.wellbeing@flpa-tkat.org ) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.  

If you have ordered a new PE Tshirt these should be with you very soon.  If you still need to order one it is not too late!  Just log on to the gateway, place your order and we will add you to the list.

As the weather is getting colder, please can you ensure that your child comes into school with a school jumper and a warm coat.  As part of our risk assessment we have to ensure the school is well ventilated and we do not want the children to become cold.  Additionally, can you ensure that your child has suitable footwear - if they are wearing trainers then these need to be plain black with no visible logos.   

In light of the uncertain times we are living in, we are being proactive and ensuring all staff are trained in google classroom.   In the next couple of weeks, teachers will be setting fun homework activities on google classroom for your child to access at home.  This is an opportunity for them to become familiar with the system in the event that they might need it for remote learning.   As a parent you can download the google classroom app which will allow you to keep track of what your child is learning.   If you haven’t already done so, remember to complete the google form that we sent out this week regarding technology that you have access to at home.
