Maths
By the end of Year 5 children will be expected to have instant recall of all their times tables (up to 12 times table) and their related division facts. You can help your child practise these at home by:
- turning over playing cards and multiplying the cards together (who can answer the quickest?)
- Rolling dice and multiplying the numbers together
- learning them by rote
- practising them whilst walking home from school or in the car etc....
- singing them
It is imperative that children can recall these facts quickly and accurately before entering Year 6.
