    Transition Days

Over the next couple of weeks you should receive a home visit from your child’s current teacher. This will be an opportunity for your child to say goodbye and also to receive their school report alongside of an introductory letter from their new teacher.   It will also include a stamped addressed envelope for your child to complete a sheet and then return it to school so that they have the chance to tell their new teacher something about themselves.      We are aware that some children, particularly those who have not had the opportunity to be in school this term, may be anxious about returning in September.

In order to ease any worries, we will be having 2 transition days. (see dates above) There will be slots available for you to sign your child up to over the Thursday whole day and Friday morning.  These slots will be 9-11.30 and 12.30-3 on Thursday and 9-11.30 on Friday.  There will only be 10 children in each group so that each child has some small group time with their new teacher and TA in order to get to know them better.    Every child will be expected to sign up for one slot and to be in school on the Friday afternoon where they will take part in some fun activities as a whole class.

The Autumn term officially starts on Monday 7th September, where the school will run according to the most recent government guidance.
